Apple Pay is Apple’s own payment method, available in over 35 countries to all Apple users. It uses the Wallet app, in which the user places their payment cards. The actual payment method, therefore, depends on the cards placed in the Wallet. Currently, only credit cards are supported. The Wallet knows all the details and preferences of the different cards. The payment is completed with a scan of the fingerprint or face. With this, Apple Pay complies with the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) regulations from the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2).

When customers want to pay by SEPA credit transfer, they receive the payment details directly on their screen or by e-mail. They then transfer the amount from their online banking environment, when it is most convenient for them. Instead of manually copying the payment details, we offer the option of generating a QR code with which the payment can be made via an app. This reduces the chance of errors because the payment details are ready in the app after scanning.
